Though John is now 65, volunteering has been part of his DNA for more than 40 years. In fact, since his 65th birthday, he had completely stopped working as a paid employee and is now dedicating all of his time (40 hours + per week) on volunteer involvement.

Over the years, he has served in countless organizations, nationally, provincially and locally and currently, besides the 3 mentioned above, he is serving in 8 more.

He has always had an interest in community and organizational development and has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the private, voluntary sector.

He has impacted thousands of people, mainly the socially disenfranchised (single mothers and children, the sick, orphans and widows, First Nations people, the physically and mentally challenged, the dying, etc...).

There are numerous stories. Two stories are very current ones... he is currently trying to raise monies to make two orphanages in Uganda and South Sudan self-sufficient as well as he is raising millions of dollars to establish the first free-standing hospice in the City of Prince Albert.
