Louise has worked tirelessly in the town of Ajax to preserve and document the history of both the town itself and it's particular place in history as one of the most active war effort sites. She has worked with veterans and civic leaders in this effort and has, most recently, been honoured and recognized for her work by the town, the governments of Ontario and Canada and the makers of the series Bomb Girls for her invaluable contributions to maintaining and explaining the legacy of the worker's experiences during wartime. Louise has worked with religious and educational organizations to create and sustain community and understanding. If any activity involving the town of Ajax needed help--she was there to donate her time and experience to making the activity, study, committee, project etc. a success. She has been a vital part of this community for 60 + years- a fixture at fundraisers and a tireless behind the scenes worker and activist.
